A new generation of PESA regional trains
ELF 3.0 builds on PESA’s experience in regional and suburban rolling stock. The modular platform can be adapted in train length, interior arrangement and powertrain to the needs of a specific operator and infrastructure.
Modularity and multiple powertrains
The regional platform covers electric, battery and hydrogen solutions as well as hybrid and multisystem configurations. A common architecture simplifies servicing, maintenance and component replacement.
Passenger-centred interior
The interior can include first- and second-class zones, universal spaces, bicycle and family areas, staff rooms or catering facilities. The design incorporates passenger research and accessibility requirements.
Efficiency and safety
The platform combines energy-efficient propulsion, recuperation, advanced diagnostics and active and passive safety systems.
